Jeff Goldblum portrays self-reverential Silicon Valley Maverick “Brad Bellflower” in an irreverent new spot announcing the relaunch of Apartments.com. The spot, which launched Sunday during “The Walking Dead”, is the first of seven, all aiming to reinforce Apartments.com’s commitment to meeting the needs of renters, rather than catering to landlords. The all-new site features more apartments than any other apartment listing website, a unique polygon search tool that defines a location-based search within a drawn shape on a map, and a My Commute tool that will map out the distance between the rental location and a specified work address.
Goldblum nails the over-exaggerated tech mogul “Brad Bellflower” in the ad, complete with made-up tech jargon (“Apartminternet”), professorial mannerisms and grandiose statements including the company’s new tagline: “Change your apartment. Change the world.”
